Set Up
- Line the students in different lines facing the teacher.
- Explain the different commands and movements (select the movements you want to do with the students)
- Monster March – March around the space with high knees
- Zombie Walk – Walk around like a zombie
- Wicked Witches – Gallop around the space.
- Vampire Vault – Leap into the air.
- Skeleton Shake – carefully backwards around the space.
- Ghost Scare – Stop moving and freeze.
- Spider Scrawl – Walk around like a Spider
Instructions
- To start the activity, do a practice round, stating the command, and getting the students to follow your actions.
- Once the students have learnt the commands, play some Halloween music, changing up the commands.
- Students should move around the gym, completing the correct movement.
- Perform for the selected time period.
Key Rules
- Students should follow the movement based of the command.
Safety Considerations
- Ensure students are aware of each other moving around the playing area.
- Ensure no hazards are within the playing area.
