Objective: To successfully knock over the pumpkins.

Set Up
- Divide the students into small groups (e.g., three to four).
- Students set up their area, placing five cones one metre apart in a horizontal line.
- On top of each cone, students place an pumpkin (object such as a basketball or foam ball – orange is ideal) as the targets.
- Provide each student with a throwing object (e.g. tennis ball).
Instructions
- On go, students take in turns attempting to knock over the pumpkins by throwing the ball.
- If a student knocks the target off the cone, they earn a point.
- Each student tries to accumulate as many points as possible during their turn.
- Continue until all pumpkins have been knocked over.
Key Rules
- Students must throw from behind the cone.
Safety Considerations
- Inspect the activity area and eliminate potential hazards.
- Set boundaries for the activity a safe distance from walls and obstacles.
- Ensure that groups are a safe distance apart.
Modifications
- Modify the distance between the throwing line and the target.
- Modify the throwing object.
- Modify the size of the targets.
