Overview
Objective: To destroy the opposition pumpkin patch prior to your patch being destroyed.
Learning Outcomes:
- Throwing for accuracy.
- Throwing for varying distances.

Set Up
- Set playing area with a setup area (top of diagram) and a throwing area (bottom of diagram) for teams.
- Split students into two teams and assign playing area.
- Assign a time period for teams to build their pumpkin patch. Cones with a ball on top (or similar).
- Once the setup time is up, teams go to their throwing area which should be facing oppositions pumpkin patch.
Instructions
- On go, each student throws their ball at the oppositions pumpkin patch attempting to knock over the cones.
- It is important for safety, students wait until teacher instruction before retrieving their ball.
- The first team to knock over all the pumpkins first wins.
Key Rules
- Students cannot build their pumpkin patch outside playing area.
- Students must throw behind throwing line and not retrieve ball until teacher instruction.
- Students must throw overarm and the ball cannot be rolled.
Safety Considerations
- Ensure no student collects their ball until teacher instruction to reduce the risk of getting hit.
- Ensure warm-up is provided to students prior to the game.
Modifications
- Modify distance for throwers.
- Modify throwing object size.
